Finding the Missing Pieces

Attempt to give back to the world a portion of your lost heart and you find it again. But instead - people seem to think the answer is to get more to fill that space. The result of this backward thinking is backward living as well. You don’t realize it, but you become a cultural commodity and a cultural casualty as well.

And it’s ironic because this mindset never returns to you, the lost portion of your heart – it just continues to sever you further from it. And then, emotionally clouded for reasons you don’t even understand, you blindly start to live backwards. You try to get more things, or more money – because this will give you more of what you want, and then you will be happier, or so you think and feel. But the way (The Tao) it actually works is the exact opposite. You must first be who you really are - then do what you need to do – and from there, give more of yourself.
